MEMBERSHIP IS FREE OF CHARGE ___________________________
1) General information about membership
- All applications for membership will be approved through the EPA board, once approved members will be sent a certificate of membership and will receive the EPA newsletters - Members shall conduct themselves in a professional manner and not act in any way as to bring the association into disrepute - The board reserves the right to withdraw membership - A member may resign their membership by submitting in writing to the Secretary or by removing him/her self from the EPA on pathways discussion forum. - As a member your details will not be passed on to commercial companies. The only exception to this is with regard to conferences organised in association with the European Pathways Association or conferences that the EPA supports.
2) Individual Members
- Members can be individual or organisational members. In the initial period there will be no charge for membership - Membership is open to a) employees of health and social care organisations with an interest in care pathways b) individuals who are employed in providing care pathways services (see commercial members below)
3) Commercial Members
- E-P-A will not be influenced by industry and other commercial interests. Applications for membership from commercial organisations will be considered on an individual basis. - Commercial members will not have access to databases of information regarding E-P-A members.
4) The aim of the EPA for its members
- To provide a network to exchange information and good practice regarding the development of care pathways - To provide education on care pathways through conferences and summer schools - To develop research into the effectiveness and use of care pathways - To promote discussion on issues associated with implementation of care pathways nationally and internationally - To influence international, national and local policy
